TAKING PARTicipation seriously - Meeting together deciding together

Meeting together–deciding together is all about involving children and young people in meetings where decisions are made that affect their lives, such as case-planning meetings. This module will help you to help a young person prepare for a meeting, participate during the meeting and debrief afterwards. It has ‘kid-friendly’ templates you can use for invitations, agendas and minutes and lots of other useful information.

ATC - Immigration detention

We spoke with the children as part of our submission to the Human Rights and Equal Opportunity's Inquiry into children in immigration detention. All the children we spoke with have been recognised under Australian and international law as refugees. They spent an average of 140 days in detention during 2000 and 2001.
