Our Vision: Children and young people in NSW are healthy.

From before their birth through to childhood and young adulthood, children and young people's health is influenced by a range of biological, social and environmental factors.

Prevention, early intervention, treatment and rehabilitation are all important in promoting children and young people's health.

Families, child care, schools, communities and health services all play important roles fostering the growth of healthy children and young people.

The aspects of children and young people's health looked at on Kids Stats are:

  • Infant mortality
  • Overall health
  • Emotional well-being

"When I eat healthy food like beans, apple and chicken it makes me feel like The Hulk!" (Boy, 4 years)
